Ms Tamara Dkaidek
PhD Student

Summary

Tamara Dkaidek is a Doctoral Researcher in Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences. Her research focuses on the effects of cycling exercise on brain function. Tamara is specifically interested in how dual-task exercise, acute cycling while visual foraging, can benefit brain function in both young adults and children. She is also interested in using Virtual Reality as a tool to assess foraging patterns while cycling on the road and its influence on executive functions.

During her PhD, Tamara has taken part in a number of research projects as a research assistant and was a graduate teaching assistant for the SP1600 Introduction to the Psychology of Sport and Exercise module for two terms. She has also attended a number of conferences and workshops including: The Bikeability Conference (2022), British Society of the Psychology of Individual Differences (2023), The National Cycling Show (2023) as well as various 香港六合彩搅珠直播 Conferences. Also, she is a Doctoral Researchers Peer Mentor for two new doctoral researchers.

Tamara is also currently the Virtual Reality Project Manager for The Bikeability Trust.
